Introducing Fabio

After our Christmas lucky-dip yesterday I have become the custodian of a funny little fellow
He has been christened Fabio.
After an eventful Christmas day, Fabio is having a quiet one today, as is the rest of his new family.
On the other hand, guess who plucked out the silk scarf that I made?
I promise there was no collusion; it was the last pressie left in the bag and she was the last to "dip"!
I reckon my husband (once again) thought of the best Christmas gift idea.  We each opened something like one of these.

Ah, the ducks are my favorite! So dear. Sometimes I wish I could send one to myself, and then I realize that that's terribly selfish and un-Christmasy of me...Shame, shame!

So nice to know that Fabio has gone to such a nice new home, where he can relax by the pool and read a good book! He is no doubt looking forward to many fun outings with his new family.

Fabio is so cute, I was just searching for that very thing, my garden needs one.

What radically different presents! All good, but I definitely think your husband wins hands down:-)

Lucky daughter!
Fabio is so cute - but then, I have a thing for garden gnomes.
Your husband's idea is the best!

Hope it wasnt the same duck ! ( only joking ) - my husband buys goats for birthday presents - people really appreciate this thought esp. when we have so much here. will you be doing any sewing for Fabio ?

My eldest daughter (14) asked her Aunt for a goat this year and my youngest (11) thought this was such a good idea she requested some chickens! I was incredibly impressed that they made this decision on their own! Needless to say, I love your husband's duck!

That looks surprisingly like the duck that was swimming with my boy's today....and no, we weren't the recipients of your duck! My youngest, poor city kid thought it was a goose because aparently ducks are brown.
